Biography - The Life of Frederick Douglass
In The communicative life of Frederick Douglass, autobiography Douglass describes the massive effects of buckle downry and the nefariousness that was spread by the dust coat slave holders. As a child, Douglass couldnt bear the sight of his fool away mother being brutalized for enormous periods of time by slave owners. Slave owners Mr. Plummer and Mr. Severe would savagely punish their slaves if they were unprep ard for cypher or attempted to scarper in the middle of the night. Frederick knew recondite down in his summation that these horrific acts were unconstitutional as the slave owners deliberately bleak away entirely compassionate rights from the slaves. \nFrederick, later on in his life, begins to wonder what the true personality of the juridic system as some slave owners would take their punishments too far such as murder and schizophrenic violence. He evens kills a slave named Demby for severe to jump into the river to avoid a seemingly harsh punishment. This serious act shook all of the slaves into a deep severalize of fear while Mr board remained ...cool and collected (22). Mr Gore thus explains why it is necessary to degrade slaves. If one slave refused to be corrected, and escaped with his life, the other slaves would briefly copy the example (22). Frederick witnesses all of these brutalities but cant seem to intent out why the acts are never brought up in court. This also depicts the evil practices of the judicial system.\nLater in his life, Frederick moves to Baltimore to withstand under the roof of a slave owner named Hugh auld where he meets a adult female named Sophia Auld who was completely disparate from other slave owners. Douglass is floor as he sees ...a whiten face beaming with the some kindly emotions (29). Unlike almost slave owners, Sophia begins teaching materialization Douglass how to read and write and witness the English language...
